Vanilla mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Vanilla in Maputo: 6 units tested over 6 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Vanilla is allowed to say
We run vanilla the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.32 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 6 units, mesh tank, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla mesh tank really costs in Maputo
Vanilla mesh tank reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 6 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested vanilla in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.32 per 10 ml liquid plus MT63 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does vanilla in a mesh tank last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
