Vanilla box mod IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Vanilla in Maputo: 10 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the vanilla habit
We run vanilla the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you are looking at vanilla in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long vanilla tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a vanilla box mod really costs in Maputo
A vanilla box mod from the pre-order options in Mozambique costs about MT1.97 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested vanilla in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised MT33 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.97 per 10 ml.
