Tropical zero-nicotine bottle IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist — Iqosmozambique
Tropical in Maputo: 24 units tested over 5 weeks, zero-nicotine bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
Tropical zero-nicotine bottle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The honest read on tropical: 24 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, zero-nicotine bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a tropical zero-nicotine bottle really costs in Maputo
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested tropical in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the zero-nicotine bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest zero-nicotine bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised MT46 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.58 per 10 ml.
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for tropical in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should tropical start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a zero-nicotine bottle.
How long does tropical in a zero-nicotine bottle last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
