Tropical starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Tropical in Maputo: 7 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good starter kit from a repack
A tropical starter kit from the discounted options in Mozambique costs about MT2.06 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you are looking at tropical in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: tropical in Maputo works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical starter kit really costs in Maputo
Tropical in Maputo reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested tropical in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.06 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for tropical in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does tropical in a starter kit last?
In Maputo we measured 4 to 7 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should tropical start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
