Tropical pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Tropical in Maputo: 14 units tested over 7 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.19 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical pod kit really costs in Maputo
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.19 per 10 ml.
How we tested tropical in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Maputo survives.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
