Tropical cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Tropical in Maputo: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you are looking at tropical in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: tropical in Maputo works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical cartomizer really costs in Maputo
The honest read on tropical: 10 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested tropical in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT46 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.71 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.

On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.71 per 10 ml liquid plus MT46 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
