Tropical 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Tropical in Maputo: 18 units tested over 8 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Tropical 30 ml shortfill reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
We run tropical the same way in Maputo: same 30 ml shortfill, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: tropical in Maputo works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical 30 ml shortfill really costs in Maputo
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a 30 ml shortfill running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested tropical in a 30 ml shortfill
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.1 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a 30 ml shortfill that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On tropical the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.1 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
How long does tropical in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
