Home / Tobacco zero-nicotine bottle IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist

What the label on Tobacco is allowed to say

There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.

Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.44 per 10 ml.

The short version: tobacco in Maputo works if the zero-nicotine bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

What a tobacco zero-nicotine bottle really costs in Maputo

We run tobacco the same way in Maputo: same zero-nicotine bottle, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.

How we tested tobacco in a zero-nicotine bottle

1. Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
2. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
3. Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.

• Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
• The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
• A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
• Spare parts availability for zero-nicotine bottle in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.

Where tobacco goes wrong

• Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
• Buying the cheapest zero-nicotine bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
• Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tobacco in Maputo survives.

The rules that apply here

Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
