Tobacco vape pen IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Tobacco in Maputo: 20 units tested over 5 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Tobacco vape pen here
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The honest read on tobacco: 20 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco vape pen really costs in Maputo
Tobacco in a vape pen is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested tobacco in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a vape pen that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised MT32 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.21 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On tobacco the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.21 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should tobacco start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
