If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco squonk mod really costs in Maputo
Tobacco in Maputo reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested tobacco in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here

Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
How long does tobacco in a squonk mod last?
In Maputo we measured 3 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
