Tobacco in Maputo: 14 units tested over 4 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a prefilled pod for tobacco
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.97 per 10 ml.
Tobacco in Maputo reaches the shelf in prefilled pod formats, and the reviewed ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.

How we tested tobacco in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.97 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
