Tobacco pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Tobacco in Maputo: 12 units tested over 7 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Tobacco in Maputo reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
A tobacco pod kit from the pre-order options in Mozambique costs about MT2.81 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: tobacco in Maputo works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tobacco pod kit really costs in Maputo
Tobacco in Maputo reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested tobacco in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tobacco in Maputo survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised MT46 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.81 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
