Tobacco cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist
Tobacco in Maputo: 12 units tested over 4 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What tobacco costs in Maputo
Tobacco sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Tobacco in Maputo reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco cartomizer really costs in Maputo
A tobacco cartomizer from the cheapest options in Mozambique costs about MT3.29 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested tobacco in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tobacco in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How long does tobacco in a cartomizer last?
In Maputo we measured 4 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.29 per 10 ml liquid plus MT30 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does tobacco taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the tobacco blend itself harsh.
