Tobacco 60 ml bottle IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Tobacco in Maputo: 22 units tested over 6 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What tobacco costs in Maputo
A tobacco 60 ml bottle from the starter options in Mozambique costs about MT3.28 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you are looking at tobacco in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the 60 ml bottle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: tobacco in Maputo works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tobacco 60 ml bottle really costs in Maputo
We run tobacco the same way in Maputo: same 60 ml bottle, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested tobacco in a 60 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for 60 ml bottle in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the 60 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 60 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does tobacco in a 60 ml bottle last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
What nicotine strength should tobacco start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 60 ml bottle.
