Tobacco 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Tobacco in Maputo: 23 units tested over 8 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good 30 ml shortfill from a repack
A tobacco 30 ml shortfill from the best options in Mozambique costs about MT3.05 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.05 per 10 ml.
The short version: tobacco in Maputo works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tobacco 30 ml shortfill really costs in Maputo
Tobacco in Maputo reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested tobacco in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Mixing tobacco with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.05 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
