Sweet vape pen IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Sweet in Maputo: 13 units tested over 5 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Sweet vape pen here
Sweet vape pen reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Sweet in Maputo reaches the shelf in vape pen formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Below is the run we did for this search: 13 units, vape pen, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sweet vape pen really costs in Maputo
We run sweet the same way in Maputo: same vape pen, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sweet in a vape pen
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for sweet in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sweet start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
How much does a vape pen cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.76 per 10 ml liquid plus MT65 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
