Sweet refill pack IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Sweet in Maputo: 7 units tested over 2 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a refill pack for sweet
Sweet prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.28 per 10 ml.
The honest read on sweet: 7 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long sweet tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sweet refill pack really costs in Maputo
Sweet in a refill pack is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested sweet in a refill pack
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sweet bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Treating the advertised MT55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.28 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Packaging for sweet in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
