Sweet prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Sweet in Maputo: 9 units tested over 5 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Sweet prefilled pod here
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Sweet in Maputo reaches the shelf in prefilled pod formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: sweet in Maputo works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sweet prefilled pod really costs in Maputo
The honest read on sweet: 9 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sweet in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a sweet bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised MT55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.77 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for sweet in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.77 per 10 ml liquid plus MT55 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
