Sweet pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Sweet in Maputo: 22 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Sweet is allowed to say
We run sweet the same way in Maputo: same pod kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Sweet in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: sweet in Maputo works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sweet pod kit really costs in Maputo
A sweet pod kit from the bulk options in Mozambique costs about MT1.87 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested sweet in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sweet bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT48 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.87 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sweet in Maputo survives.
- Mixing sweet with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for sweet in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does sweet in a pod kit last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
