Spiced mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Spiced in Maputo: 13 units tested over 3 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a mesh tank for spiced
The honest read on spiced: 13 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Spiced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.85 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long spiced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a spiced mesh tank really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested spiced in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why spiced tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long spiced in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for spiced in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.85 per 10 ml liquid plus MT59 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is spiced legal to sell in Mozambique?

Why does spiced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the spiced blend itself harsh.
