Spiced cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Spiced in Maputo: 22 units tested over 8 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What spiced costs in Maputo
Spiced in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Spiced in Maputo reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: spiced in Maputo works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a spiced cartomizer really costs in Maputo

How we tested spiced in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every spiced bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a spiced bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.9 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long spiced in Maputo survives.
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
