Sourcherry RDA IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Sourcherry in Maputo: 9 units tested over 9 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sourcherry habit
Sourcherry RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Sourcherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.25 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long sourcherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sourcherry RDA really costs in Maputo
Sourcherry in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested sourcherry in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Mixing sourcherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Treating the advertised MT65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.25 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Packaging for sourcherry in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
