Sourcherry pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Sourcherry in Maputo: 11 units tested over 3 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good pod kit from a repack
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Sourcherry in Maputo reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the reviewed ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: sourcherry in Maputo works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sourcherry pod kit really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at sourcherry in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested sourcherry in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sourcherry bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sourcherry in Maputo survives.
- Treating the advertised MT63 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.52 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Packaging for sourcherry in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sourcherry start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
Why does sourcherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the sourcherry blend itself harsh.
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.52 per 10 ml liquid plus MT63 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
