Sourcherry cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Sourcherry in Maputo: 21 units tested over 7 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good cartomizer from a repack
Sourcherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.5 per 10 ml.
We run sourcherry the same way in Maputo: same cartomizer, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: sourcherry in Maputo works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sourcherry cartomizer really costs in Maputo
The honest read on sourcherry: 21 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sourcherry in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sourcherry bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT41 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.5 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions

Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does sourcherry in a cartomizer last?
