Sourcherry box mod IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Sourcherry in Maputo: 11 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with sourcherry in Mozambique
We run sourcherry the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Sourcherry box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 11 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: sourcherry in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sourcherry box mod really costs in Maputo
Sourcherry in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested sourcherry in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT48 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.59 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for sourcherry in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

| Entry kit | MT48 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT3.59 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |
