Sour sub-ohm kit IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Sour in Maputo: 20 units tested over 8 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Sour in a sub-ohm kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the sub-ohm kit you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour sub-ohm kit really costs in Maputo
We run sour the same way in Maputo: same sub-ohm kit, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a sub-ohm kit
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where sour goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Buying the cheapest sub-ohm kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.44 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
How long does sour in a sub-ohm kit last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
