Sour starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Sour in Maputo: 23 units tested over 2 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What sour costs in Maputo
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Below is the run we did for this search: 23 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour starter kit really costs in Maputo
We run sour the same way in Maputo: same starter kit, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where sour goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised MT50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.57 per 10 ml.
