Sour prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Sour in Maputo: 13 units tested over 7 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with sour in Mozambique
The honest read on sour: 13 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Sour prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour prefilled pod really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested sour in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.95 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Maputo survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
