Sour pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Sour in Maputo: 23 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sour habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Below is the run we did for this search: 23 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour pod kit really costs in Maputo
The honest read on sour: 23 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sour in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sour goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
