Sour pen device IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Sour in Maputo: 14 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Sour pen device here
Sour in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The honest read on sour: 14 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour pen device really costs in Maputo
Sour pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 14 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested sour in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where sour goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
