Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
Sour pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 12 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: sour in Maputo works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour pen device really costs in Maputo
A sour pen device from the best options in Mozambique costs about MT3.55 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested sour in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where sour goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.55 per 10 ml liquid plus MT61 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
