Sour box mod IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Sour in Maputo: 9 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Sour is allowed to say
Sour in Maputo reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
A sour box mod from the discounted options in Mozambique costs about MT2.26 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour box mod really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested sour in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT64 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.26 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for sour in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
