Salted starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Salted in Maputo: 8 units tested over 7 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with salted in Mozambique
Salted starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 8 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Salted in Maputo reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted starter kit really costs in Maputo
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.58 per 10 ml.
How we tested salted in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where salted goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On salted the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.58 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
How long does salted in a starter kit last?
In Maputo we measured 7 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
