Salted RDA IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Salted in Maputo: 13 units tested over 2 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good RDA from a repack
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.64 per 10 ml.
Salted RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: salted in Maputo works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted RDA really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested salted in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where salted goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised MT62 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.64 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
How long does salted in a RDA last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 13 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On salted the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT1.64 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
