Salted prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Salted in Maputo: 19 units tested over 6 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a prefilled pod for salted
A salted prefilled pod from the discounted options in Mozambique costs about MT3.17 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.17 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted prefilled pod really costs in Maputo
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested salted in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where salted goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised MT37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.17 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
