Salted pen device IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Salted in Maputo: 15 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a pen device for salted
Salted pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a salted pen device really costs in Maputo
A salted pen device from the best options in Mozambique costs about MT2.26 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested salted in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where salted goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.

Frequently asked questions
How long does salted in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
Is salted legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
