Salted cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Salted in Maputo: 24 units tested over 6 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
We run salted the same way in Maputo: same cartomizer, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A salted cartomizer from the pre-order options in Mozambique costs about MT3.13 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a salted cartomizer really costs in Maputo
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested salted in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where salted goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
