Salted box mod IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Salted in Maputo: 24 units tested over 8 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on salted: 24 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
A salted box mod from the online options in Mozambique costs about MT2.37 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: salted in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted box mod really costs in Maputo
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested salted in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where salted goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in Maputo survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for salted in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
