Salted 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Salted in Maputo: 21 units tested over 8 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Salted is allowed to say
Salted in Maputo reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Salted in a 30 ml shortfill is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted 30 ml shortfill really costs in Maputo
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.08 per 10 ml.
How we tested salted in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where salted goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a 30 ml shortfill cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.08 per 10 ml liquid plus MT62 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
