Plum sub-ohm kit IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Plum in Maputo: 18 units tested over 9 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a sub-ohm kit for plum
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.27 per 10 ml.
The short version: plum in Maputo works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum sub-ohm kit really costs in Maputo
The honest read on plum: 18 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested plum in a sub-ohm kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plum goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
How long does plum in a sub-ohm kit last?
In Maputo we measured 9 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plum the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.27 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
