Plum squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Plum in Maputo: 17 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good squonk mod from a repack
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Plum in Maputo reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the bulk ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum squonk mod really costs in Maputo
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.54 per 10 ml.
How we tested plum in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plum goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Maputo survives.
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
How long does plum in a squonk mod last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.54 per 10 ml liquid plus MT45 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
