Choosing a prefilled pod for plum

A plum prefilled pod from the discounted options in Mozambique costs about MT2.76 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.

There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.

The short version: plum in Maputo works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

What a plum prefilled pod really costs in Maputo

We run plum the same way in Maputo: same prefilled pod, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.

How we tested plum in a prefilled pod

1. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
2. Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
3. Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.

• Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
• Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
• The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
• Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.

Where plum goes wrong

• Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
• Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
• Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Maputo survives.

The rules that apply here

Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
