Plum pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Plum in Maputo: 23 units tested over 3 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.38 per 10 ml.
Plum in Maputo reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: plum in Maputo works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum pod kit really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested plum in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where plum goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

| Entry kit | MT31 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.38 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does plum in a pod kit last?
In Maputo we measured 3 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
