Plum mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Plum in Maputo: 9 units tested over 5 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Plum is allowed to say
The honest read on plum: 9 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
A plum mesh tank from the pre-order options in Mozambique costs about MT2.13 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum mesh tank really costs in Maputo
Plum mesh tank reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested plum in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where plum goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Maputo survives.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
