Plum mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Plum in Maputo: 14 units tested over 2 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What plum costs in Maputo
Plum in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run plum the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: plum in Maputo works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

How we tested plum in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where plum goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Maputo survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.93 per 10 ml liquid plus MT50 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does plum in a mesh tank last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
