Plum 60 ml bottle IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Plum in Maputo: 19 units tested over 3 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Plum is allowed to say
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.15 per 10 ml.
A plum 60 ml bottle from the discounted options in Mozambique costs about MT3.15 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the 60 ml bottle you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum 60 ml bottle really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested plum in a 60 ml bottle
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the 60 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 60 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where plum goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a 60 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 60 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
