Plum 100 ml bottle IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Plum in Maputo: 22 units tested over 5 weeks, 100 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the plum habit
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Plum in a 100 ml bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the 100 ml bottle you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum 100 ml bottle really costs in Maputo
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.04 per 10 ml.
How we tested plum in a 100 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the 100 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 100 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where plum goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.04 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a 100 ml bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.04 per 10 ml liquid plus MT49 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 100 ml bottle.
How long does plum in a 100 ml bottle last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
