Plain zero-nicotine bottle IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist — Iqosmozambique
Plain in Maputo: 6 units tested over 9 weeks, zero-nicotine bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the plain habit
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.35 per 10 ml.
The honest read on plain: 6 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: plain in Maputo works if the zero-nicotine bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain zero-nicotine bottle really costs in Maputo
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.35 per 10 ml.
How we tested plain in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a zero-nicotine bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where plain goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.35 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest zero-nicotine bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here

Packaging for plain in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
