Where buyers go wrong with plain in Mozambique
If you are looking at plain in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the zero-nicotine bottle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run plain the same way in Maputo: same zero-nicotine bottle, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, zero-nicotine bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain zero-nicotine bottle really costs in Maputo
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.62 per 10 ml.
How we tested plain in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the zero-nicotine bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a zero-nicotine bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for zero-nicotine bottle in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plain goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a zero-nicotine bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plain the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.62 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a zero-nicotine bottle.
