Plain RDA IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Plain in Maputo: 9 units tested over 8 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Plain is allowed to say
We run plain the same way in Maputo: same RDA, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The honest read on plain: 9 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, RDA, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain RDA really costs in Maputo
Plain RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested plain in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a RDA cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.68 per 10 ml liquid plus MT31 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does plain in a RDA last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plain the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT1.68 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
